Our Guide to Frame Denim
American denim brands have gained worldwide acclaim for their exceptional quality, comfort, and durability. Among the extensive denim brands showcased at The Dressing Room is Frame Denim.
Who owns Frame Denim? Established in 2012 by Erik Torstensson and Jens Grede, Frame Denim is a Californian fashion brand rooted in the vibrant culture of Los Angeles. Offering a blend of timeless elegance and everyday chic, Frame Denim epitomises effortless style with its foundational denim wardrobe. Frame Denim jeans in particular seamlessly adapt to your body for ultimate comfort and fit.
Since its inception, the brand has integrated Californian modernity with European influences, showcasing renowned ready-to-wear collections, unwavering quality, and sought-after denim essentials. Torstensson and Grede embarked on their fashion journey without prior experience as designers, yet they were confident in their vision for the brand. Meeting in 2001 and recognising their creative synergy, the Swedish duo drew from their collective backgrounds in advertising campaigns, magazine editing, and PR ventures to shape Frame Denim. Their mission was to craft the quintessential blue jean, resulting in the iconic Le Skinny style, embraced by top models worldwide and propelling Frame Denim into its current status as a premium denim brand.
Among the favourites is Le Garcon jeans, a fresh take on the classic boyfriend jean, boasting an effortlessly oversized fit with just the right amount of stretch. The Jetset flare range merges denim with pull-on trousers, hardware-free and pocket-less for unparalleled comfort during travels. For everyday wear, Le High Straight jean offers a sleek silhouette with a high-rise waist and ankle-cropped length, perfect for flattering fit. Meanwhile, the Le Palazzo line exudes a '70s vibe with its wide-leg flare, sculpting a stunning elongated leg line.
Committed to sustainable and ethical manufacturing practices, Frame Denim upholds principles of environmental responsibility and fair labour standards.
How Does Frame Denim Fit? Does Frame Denim Run Small?
As a premium denim brand, Frame Denim typically adheres to true-to-size fitting. This means there's usually no need to size 'up' or 'down' due to vanity sizing. Waistbands are designed to be supportive without feeling overly constrictive. As a general guideline, you shouldn't be able to fit more than a few fingers between the jean and your body at the back of the waistband. However, if a particular style deviates from this norm, it will be clearly explained in the product description online or communicated by the stylist on the shop floor. Most of our styles are available in waist inch sizing. However hybrid styles such as the Jetset range will be in dress sizes XS-M. If you're unsure about sizing or have any queries, our team of trained stylists is readily available to assist you. You can reach out to us via WhatsApp, email, live chat, or by calling the store. We're here to help with any styling or sizing concerns you may have.
